Yesterday my husband formally retired from the Banking business after 35 years.  It was a tough day all around.  I've been retired a year this February 2011.  I retired because of my health and then after my brain surgery I needed to work at who I was and where I was going but Craig is a healthy 60 year old.  Banking has for the most part defined his life.  This is what he did and for the most part he loved what he did for a living.  Times have changed, my surgery, changes in technology and the demands of day to day banking life made him realize that he was no longer enjoying his job the way he should.  Although he is ready for new challenges he spent the day missing the co workers and clients he said good bye to only days ago.  It will be a little while before he's ready to start on his new journey.  For today I'm just content to share life as it is.  In some ways we have come full circle in our relationship.  I'm excited to see where we go from here.
